I sold and sent my camera to a postal locker under the impression that Paypal emails I was receiving were real and the payment had been paid and was being processed. In hindsight, they are not legitimate, but quite good fakes. I am still in contact with the Gmail account presumably because they think I haven't realised that i've been scammed yet and don't want me to raise alarm bells.
So stupid of me I know.
Paypal, Gumtree and the police say there's not much I can do.
Any ideas from you guys? I can't raise a dispute because there was no transaction completed.
