It's a maths question really - can anyone help me? If I want the customer to pay paypal fees rather than me, how do I calculate the invoice?
An example if the item is £250, with fees at 3.4% plus 20p then I get charged £8.70. If I want the customer to pay the fees, I can't just add £8.70 to £250 as it will incur extra fees: £258.70 would have fees of £8.80 (I would still have to pay 10p myself)
Good question, however passing your fees on to buyers is actually against PayPal's User Agreement. The fees are in place on the seller's side as we're processing payments for you. Asking your buyers to pay this fee instead could cause your account to be permanently limited. Because of this, I would not advise passing along your fees to your buyers.
