How do I receive funds

I have been using PayPal for a long time but as a buyer only, tonight I sold an item to someone who sent payment to my email that is attached to my paypal acc. There is a message coming up to the buyer saying I don’t have a PayPal account. How do I fix my account t so I’m able to receive money? Thankyou
