I am asking this for a friend. You will understand as you read. An elderly friend of mine thinks she was scammed by someone in a phone call. The scammer claimed to be working for Microsoft. He told her there were fraudulent activities happening connected to her. At some point he said they would need to set up a Paypal account and so she gave him information to do so. Later her bank told her there was someone trying to hack her account. Anyway, her question is: Is there an account set up in my (her) name? In other words, is it possible to discover if someone has setup an account using her information? Thank You. R. <removed>
