Got an email saying i have been paid but not showing up in paypal

Got an email form <removed> saying I received payment from an ebay buyer, but the payment does not show up in my account.

Thank you for joining the Community and welcome! I apologize that posting email addresses is not allowed in the Community and your post has been edited, but it definitely sounds like a fake or spoof email.  

I like to tell people that if it is important enough for us to email you over, it is important enough to be in the PayPal account as well. For more information on how to recognize and report these emails, please visit:

Many of the links in these emails may carry viruses or spyware and take you to a fake website made to look like PayPal to obtain password information. If you possibly clicked any links, I would encourage you to run a virus scan on your computer, delete browsing history, and change your password as soon as possible.
