I was involved in a scam where I paid for something online using gift vouchers. I bought the vouchers using PayPal and send the voucher code to the scammers. The voucher purchase was legitimate but do I have any PayPal protection for this scenario. I do have the ability to get my money back for vouchers I purchased using my credit card, but didn’t know if I have the same protection with PayPal.

Paypal never tell you to buy gift vouchers to do anything paypal related.
Sadly none of the transaction would have been done on paypals site as you were scammed via fake paypal emails or texts.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
