Freelance Invoice Generation on Personal Account?

Is it possible, as a freelancer, to generate an invoice without being a legal entity? A customer of mine on Upwork requested to pay me through PayPal, but I don't understand how to generate an invoice without being a licensed business/having a business account.

Yes, you can generate an invoice on your personal account. To do so:

1. Click "Send & Request" at the top of your homepage
2. Choose "Request"
3. There should be an option on the right-hand side of the screen that says "Create an invoice" - chose this option, and it takes you to the invoice page.
