I have no problem with ebay suggesting a password change for added security. However, doing it within an ebay purchase process is clearly a security problem itself. I closed the purchase and went direct to my paypal account and changed my password. I then went back to complete the purchase on ebay and was met with a forced password change instruction again despite having just changed my password within my account page. The way paypal are forcing password changes within the purchase process looks like a scammer asking you for your password.
