Can someone explain why paypal has taken 68p fees, when a friend has paid £13 through friends and family please

if you were charged a fee then they did not use the friends/family option.

Were you or him charged the fee?
If it was him then its only free if he funded it via funds in his balance or bank account, if he used a card to fund it then you pay a fee.
