Will I be charged a fee if a relative in France sends me money. If my relative sends the money in Euros or Francs will Paypal automatically exchange the currency for US dollars? Will I be charged a fee for this?  Thanks

Thank you for your post!

If the payment is sent in another currency than one that you hold in your account, you will be asked to accept the payment and either convert it or add that currency to your account. If you have already added the currency to your account, the payment will come through without needing acceptance. If the payment is sent as a friends and family payment, there will be no fees to receive the payment unless you do have it converted. The fees for sending a cross-border payment would be paid by the sender of the payment.
