I am being charged fees to receive money from a friend consistently and don’t know why. Certainly don’t want or need instant pay

Its down to how the payment was SENT to your account.

1. If they sent using money > goods / services option then paypal would see you as a seller and apply the new seller hold. They would also charge you a fee.

2. If they had sent using the send money > family / friends option then you would have had the payment instantly with no fee. (However that option is not available in every country).


Advice is voluntary.

Someone send me money via PayPal to receive that money to my bank account I must pay service and transfer fees via money before I receive the money is that possible

PayPal is rediculous with fees. That's why I dont even use them for my card reader anymore.

Hi! How will I know if the country that my friend is in has the option to send money as a friend/family so as not to pay ridiculous amount of service fee?
