Every month I send money to various cat shelters abroad and put that it is to friends and family. Today, when I made the same transaction I am being charged £1 in fees on a £5 amount. That is extortionate!
I have never been charged fees before, and wonder if this is something new?
I will have to find an alternative way of sending money as every £1 will add up, as I send to quite a few shelters overseas, particularly Egypt.

You would get currency conversion fees + you always get fees if you fund it via a credit card.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
