Fees on money from family and friends

Why do I get charged a fee every time I request money from a friend or family member?

There is a PayPal fee on receiving money from money requests, same with PayPal invoices. Money requests are informal invoices for goods and services whereas PayPal invoices are formal requests for goods and services payments.
