Hi - I'm a Canadian, but I keep my paypal balance set to USD because of how many people, American or not, tend to default to USD and it just makes keeping track of my funds a bit easier.
I made a $5 USD paypal.me payment, from my Paypal balance rather than a credit/debit card, and was hit with a $2.22 USD fee. That particular number doesn't align with anything explained in the fees section, but it is extremely high and I have some concerns about where it came from and how to avoid being charged this much on small payments?
