Donation Incentive not Delivered, Fraud tactics? Does PayPal protect donator?

There was a recent charity drive on Tiltify.com that uses incentives to "donate" to charities. However uses terms such as "Sold Out" when the limited number of such items have run out.

There was a World of Warships charity drive that promised highly exclusive in-game goods but never delivered. When I put $5 donation, then picked a reward, it would automatically changed my donation number to $200 / $100.

I feel like I've been scammed and now I don't know if Paypal will protect me if such tactics were used to obtain "donations" to this said charity. Maybe the charity is real and stands for a good cause, however the tactics used to obtain these donations were straight up fraudulent.

What can I do in this situation? Please advise would help because I'm not rich enough to donate $630.

There are no purchase protection on donations. If you paid with credit card, dispute the transaction through them.

Says so in these pages:

Yeah, sad that Paypal doesn't protect over "donations", no matter how they're acquired.

I'll have to give it a shot with my bank.
