I was scammed by a Chinese fraudulent company called Dolltu for unordered items of clothing. While Paypay has been slow to rein in this fraud, my dispute to the Chase credit card backing my Paypal account was removed instantly. My guess would be that you should only use a credit card to pay your Paypal account. I con't imagine trying to recoup my loss from a Paypal cash account.

You were lucky, a lot of folks have found that their card issuers have turned them down for a refund for these China sites selling tat.

Thats why i tend to advise going through paypal first and then if you have no luck contact your card issuer.

Because if your card turns you down you can't open a paypal dispute afterwards.
