Do PayPal send an email confirming when you have contacted them?

Yesterday I sent a lengthy email to PayPal support using their online form and I'm now doubting that it sent properly as I didn't receive an email confirming they'd received my email. Could anyone please confirm whether or not PayPal sends an email to confirm when you've contacted their support team via email using the online form?
