Do I have Pay Pal buyer protection when buying things on market place on Facebook?

I would like to buy a product on market place and the fella says if I pay him through pay pal that I am protected if he doesn't send the product, I will get my money back. Is this correct? Checking on Paypal it says on any website-does that include market place and it says it has to be an "eligible purchase" but doesn't specify...any thoughts welcome. Thanks
