Need fee amount making $1900 purchase from individual who has email associated w bank in Canada. I am in US. Any help for this particular calculation is appreciated. Thanks.
Confused by rate/fee help documents and would like to see a paypal fee calculator within paypal. Should have buyer country, seller country, purchase amount. Very simple and would really help!

Here are the rates:
https://www.paypal.com/ca/for-you/fees#selling
Since it is an intl transaction, the fee for seller is 3.9% + 30 cents, fixed fee.
Here is fee calculator:
https://salecalc.com/paypal?p=&l=ca&r=0&e=0&f=0&m=0&c=0
The least the seller can do is figure out how much to invoice you in order to receive $1900 USD or CAD. The fixed fee based on the currency received is 30 cents whether receiving in USD or CAD.
The calculator position can be switched between "if sending" and "if receiving".
If seller wants 1900.00, you'd have to pay at least 1,957.05.
https://salecalc.com/paypal?p=1900.00&l=ca&r=0&e=0&f=0&m=2&c=0
The calculator doesn't tabulate the actual currency exchange rate though as the rate is determined during the checkout process depending on whether PayPal does the conversion or your financial institution.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
