Confirm Receipt affects buyer protection?

Hello all,

I have purchased an item through goods and services and have requested the seller to not ship the item until 2 weeks later as I will be going overseas. The seller then claims that I have to confirm receipt in order for them to receive their money. Will I forfeit buyer protection if I do? Also if the seller ships before the two week period am I able to file a dispute as I do not want the item to come when I am overseas.

TIA

NEVER confirm receipt of an item that you have not received.

You can file a dispute for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described.
