Client asking for Photo ID

Hi,

I did a service for a client (Outside US) and asked them to pay via PayPal. They are asking me to send the photo id with the date of birth to verify before sending the payment. Is it common practice to ask for ID and DOB for client invoice payment? 

I am not comfortable sending my DOB out, is there a workaround?

Thank you for reaching out, and I appreciate your caution with this! As far as PayPal is concerned, you should not have to provide this information to the other party. We'll take care of all of the verification as we find fit and as necessary. 🙂
