is this a good way to buy goods and have it shipped? are you protected in anyway from sending the money and not getting the item?

Hi timmorris69,
I'm glad you reached out to the PayPal community. I'm going to be kinda honest here... I'm a little biased when it comes to PayPal because I work here. However, PayPal is definitely great in situations like that. Our buyer protection policies help protect you in case an item you ordered is never shipped to you by the merchant or not at all what you ordered in the first place.
You can review our buyer protection guarantee on our website.
