My 90 year-old father has been receiving repeated calls from people claiming to be representing Paypal, saying that an account in Russia tried to take £600 from his account (and also previously £500) and that they need him to go to his computer to check something. He tells me there is no sign of any money going from his Paypal account, but I just overheard a conversation and it sounded very suspicious to me, as the caller spent ages talking with my father about his garden and my mother, who recently passed away. I told him this sounded like a scam call to me. Any insights?
