Call back craziness

Rather than be on hold for 40 some odd minutes, I requested a call back. I got the call, but when the robo voice asked me to press 1 when I was available, I pressed the 1 key on my phone, and the system did not react to that. I've tried three times to do this, but the call always ends with, "thank you for calling paypal," click. What is happening?!?!? And why can't I send them an email? I am completely frustrated.

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.
