Hello, I am looking to purchase a high value item. The Seller has sent me an invoice but how can I check he has said it is for an item so I will have buyer protection?

If he has sent you a money request or invoice then you would have buyer protection.

However that protection is not a 100% coverall so you need to read up on it so that you can risk assess your transactions.

For eg if you are buying a pricy watch and he sends you an invoice stating just 'watch' and you receive a toy watch then you would lose a dispute for item received but not as described because you got exactly what was written on the invoice.
