I have a personal UK paypal account - I would like to know what protection paypayl provides if I purchase a used item (sport parachute) that someone has advertised on a Facebook sales group. The item is based in Cagliari (Sardinia) and priced at 1500 EUROS.
I don't know the seller and the item costs a lot of money, so I would like to know what protection paypal provides if the item doesn't turn up, or not as described, or damaged etc.
Also, what would the fees be for this transaction ?

Sellers pay any fees not buyers.
The small section on Paypals buyer protection and what coverage it offers is in their user agreement.
Legal (very bottom of this page) > user agreement > purchase protection.
Only to answer your question I would just have to re-type it all out over here so its better that you go and read up on it yourself so you can risk assess that transaction.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
