Last Thursday I sold a sofa on Facebook Marketplace. The buyer says she’s new to PayPal. She had a mover come pick it up. All seemed well. Before he left she sent me a screen shot of her payment. I let the guy go. But I never received any email from PayPal stating it was pending or in my account or even on hold. I have the screen shot she sent me from her end. I tried emailing PayPal 2x and calling (on hold 1 1/2 hours). Nothing. She called me to discuss because I started getting upset the money wasn’t showing up. She says it shows on her end that the money was taken out of her account. I do think she wants to be honest. Seems to be her first time using PayPal. Have I been scammed or is there something I should know about a new user?
