I received an email saying they needed to verify my account because there was some unusual activity. How do I know it's from pay pal?

Emails from PayPal will always address you by your first and last names or by your business name.

If you're unsure, don't click any links in the email. Go to the PayPal site directly to log in and see if you have any notices on your account.

I'm going to post a PayPal link with more details on fake emails.

Thank you. This was very helpful. I have forwarded on the email which did not seem to line up with what it should look like.

My paper billing and my online account do not match. My paper billing is correct but I cannot find it online. I am wondering if I have 2 accounts.  My payment is past due....
