I recieved an email from paypal on this day that I made a 50 euro steam payment with my account. I did not do that, so I immediately went to check my paypal account. I can not login. It says that there is no account linked to my email but it is definitely the correct email. I am terrified. Did I get hacked? What can I do? (I made this account to ask for help, this is not the account I use, obiously)
Are you sure the email you received was from PayPal ? Did you click on any links in the email to try to access your PayPal Account ? Did you try to login to your PayPal Account using your web browser ?
Yes the mail if from <removed>, which is to my knowledge 100% legit. I did not click any links, I went to paypal.com directly and tried to login, and failed. I tried to reset my password, but it says that there is no paypal account linked to my mail, which is not true.
