8% fee

I want to purchase something from an individual using my pay pal account. The seller says that it will cost him 8% of the purchase price if I pay this way. Is that true?

Well whatever the fee which by the way is 2.9% + $0.30 that should not be your problem as sellers pay fees and not buyers.

Don't let him trick you into paying via the friends/family option or you will lose any buyer protection.
