Yesterday I received an Email from service@ ncm . paypal .com and it says:

"Hi Customer,

Last step to close your account, Reminder, statement in attached file (confirmation).

before 24 hours, secure ID now."

and in the attached file says: "your PayPal account will be limited for security reasons.

Date and Time: April 11, 2019

Operation System: Linux

Location: China

Please login to your account and provide the requested information before 24 hours.

through the Account Review, If we don't receive the information before this deadline, Your account access may be further limited.

Please Verify your PayPal account, we recommend go to (Click Here)"

I didn't click the link because I'm afraid this is not official because I've never used a Linux and never been in China.

so what should I do?

If its a spoof, DO NOT USE ANY LINK.

Firstly if the email/ text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email link to ''cancel'' any transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.

If there was a problem with your account Paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.
