wondering why i got charged fees twice when my girlfriend sent money to my paypal account twice, using funds from our joint bank account through her paypal account to mine? I was paying for some game credits for my son on his xbox. The reason she used our joint bank account is because i have another bank account attached to my paypal account and it had no funds in it.

Its down to how the payment was SENT to your account.

1. If they sent using money > goods / services option then paypal would see you as a seller and charge you a fee.

2. If they had sent using the send money > family / friends option then you would have had the payment instantly. (However that option is not available in every country).
