Anyone else found the Paypal call centre next to useless?

I've been on hold for an hour after calling on the opening time, 8:00am and still no human to speak to.

Paypal phones are mostly non operational since covid but sometimes you get lucky. (use the guest option if you can't log in).
If there is one available it will show when you click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available in your country.
Live chat is randomly available.
You can send them a message.
Or
have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.

it seems that paypal do not have customer support that enables human to human conversation.

 

Still on hold 1.26 hours, just an all over appalling service

None of the information you received here so far is helpful.

Don't kid yourself, if you need their assistance with an issue for a few minutes, you're likely in for a long battle. Weeks if you're lucky but perhaps months.

I'm just trying to be honest with you.

Yet folks are getting through on the phone / chat or by messages even if after a long wait.

So would you prefer I posted nothing and no one EVER got through to customer services?

Or I post the above information and some folks get their issues resolved that way.

If so then I would consider my advice helpful.

But hey if you have better advice please post it rather than just slating others advice.

My issue with their phone staff is that they don't even have the knowledge to deal with a lot of these issues when you get through to them.  I've been on the phone at least four times with them lately, they're as confused as I am with the requests I've been getting from their security team.

 

Your posts are very helpful to many.  I acknowledge that and appreciate the efforts you put in.

Paypal call centre is incorrectly named "customer support" as it is no such thing.

 

Covid is an easy excuse for appalling service and doesn't cut it.

Paypal support the sellers of dodgy goods and couldn't care less about the consumer.
