Suspicious account activity. Phone verification not working

Hello, i received an Email from Paypal informing me there had been some suspicious activity on my account and that i needed to change my Password.

I tried to log in and at that stage they wanted a phone verification, its a landline and the digits that were not stared out were correct, however i never received a call, i tried several times.

So i called customer service, i got through all of the checks but once it got to the point of actually speaking to someone the recorded voice said "Sorry we cannot help you over the phone". And hung up.

The next stage was to try and get help thought the chat system, but that needs me to sign in to the account but of course i can't.

 

As far as i can see i'm now at the end of options to change the password or resolve the suspicious activity on my account.

 

Any ideas? thank you 🙂
