I applied for a loan thru a site that would match me with lenders. I received a call from a lender called "Advance America-Federal Loans'. A woman by the name of Angel asked me to answer questions verifying my identity and my account info. I did all of that. She then told me that there were stores affiliated with Advance America and that I needed to go to one of these given stores purchase a specific card for my security verification and load $200 on it. Which, is the amount of what I will pay per month to pay back loan. After, I did this the loan amount and the $200 I put on card would be direct deposited into my account. I believe it to be a scam, but now I have given my account info. Is it a scam and what do I need to do to protect my account now?
