I have made my first sale, a bid, on ebay and I sent a PayPal request for funds and received an email from Support at Paypal.com saving I need to forward a photo of the item along with the number, expiration date of Visa Gift Card buyer said he sent money to PayPal for me to include with sold item as he is sending my item as gift. Why would PayPal care what I sold if I request and a legitimate buyer pays? My PayPal account says Pending. Thank you

Scam, you don't send a money request for an ebay sale, the buyer completes ebay checkout.
They want the money request so that they have your name etc and can send you FAKE paypal or ebay emails.
You won't see any money in your paypal account and they try and scam you of a gift card for any verification or paypal 'reason' that they can think of.
The 'pending' request will never be paid.
Paypal does not expect you to send anything let alone a gift card before you are paid.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
