Contacting paypal

Does anyone for U.S.A. customers have any useful information on how to contact paypal using either a direct email address or on-line website support messaging system?

I don't want to call and the current instant messaging system does not connect with a live person.

I can not understand why so many businesses refuse to use email to connect with.  OK.  Yes, I do know why.  Because they're CHEAP and they refuse to hire the labor required to have such systems in place.  That's why.

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones when available (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.

4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
