Buyer protection

I want to buy something second hand off Facebook marketplace however I can’t pick the item up as I’m in lockdown. The seller wants a deposit to hold. However if I pay in full via a QR code does this give me the best buyer protection until I can pick up?

Unfortunately there is no paypal buyer protection for items personally delivered or collected.
