Checkout hangs at 'processing' part - 403 from post to hermes url in log

Hi,

 

We're having a problem with one particular merchant account where any purchases using a paypal account get stuck at the point after the 'securely logging in' spinner on the paypal served page - it gets stuck whilst displaying the 'processing' spinner on the page (see screengrab below).

 

Looking at the console logs to follow it through, it looks as though an attempted POST to the following url fails with a 403 forbidden:

http://www.paypal.com/webapps/hermes/api/checkout/8Y189753SK783701D/installmentOptions/

 

The response from that POST details:

You don't have permission to access "http://www.paypal.com/webapps/hermes/api/checkout/8Y189753SK783701D/installmentOptions/" on this server.

Is it this 403 that may be the cause of our problem where the buyer never gets to finalise the payment? Has anyone else experienced this?

 

Any help would be much appreciated!

I am increasingly running into this problem. At first it just happened when purchasing on websites on my iPhone. Now it is happening on websites I'm purchasing from on my iMac. I've rebooted my computer, rebooted my router, and nothing seems to resolve the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?
