updating expired visa card

i am failing to update my expired visa card, why so?

I am sorry about your issue. In general, Visa and Mastercard expiry dates will automatically update in your PayPal account using the Visa and Mastercard update feature offered to all cardholders. If you have a different card, please use the steps below to update your expiry date.

Here's how to change your card's expiry date:

  1. Go to Wallet.
  2. Click the card you want to edit and then click Update card.
  3. Update the expiry date and enter the last 3-digit security code (CSC) found on the back of the card.
  4. Click Save.

Note: To update a Maestro card's start date or issue number, you must remove it from your account and then re-add it with the updated information.
