Why does Paypal want to add a credit card, if there is one already added?

I had no problem with Paypal payments for several years.

Now, since a couple of days, when check-out, Paypal wants to add a card. But there is one added (valid, with credit). I have no other card. If I try to add the same card, I get back the same prompt to add a credit card.

Why is this?

I have a valid card added, and cannot make payments!

(I read back in the forum, and this happened in 2015 already.)

The issue is already solved.

The problem was with Ebay. (All suggested solutions by Paypal do not work.)

That item could not be purchased with Paypal. (I asked another user to try it, he had the same problem.)

I do not know how, I searched for another item, and could buy that without any problem.

Hi @persze,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum!

In general, when you attempt to make a payment, our system reviews every transaction before it's completed. Sometimes, for security reasons, a payment method may be made unavailable. Unfortunately, we would not be able to manually change the security settings but you can try clearing your cache and cookies, deleting your browser history and waiting for 48 hours without accessing your account to let the system reset. This may help you solve the issue.

I hope this helps.
