Why do I have to guess how much money I can transfer?

After verifying my account, I have spent the past two days guessing the amount that would actually transfer.  I finally guessed an amount that would go through.  Is this the case for every transfer?  Why is PayPal unwilling to tell me how much I can move?  Or do they simply not know?

Is there nothing that tells me how much can be moved in a single day or a single transaction?

I’m having a similar issue, everything is verifiable but I cannot transfer.. to a card that has been used multiple times before!? No one can tell me why.. why?!??
