Want to transfer money from bank card to PayPal balance

Hello. I am new to Pay Pal.

I cannot link my bank card to paypal...wanting to dump some money into

my PayPal balance.

Website says were having problems come back at a later date no less.

Is that true?

You can't add funds to a paypal account via a card unless its a prepaid card that paypal accept.

However you don't need funds in your paypal balance as a buyer, link and confirm a card and paypal will take the funds directly from that card when you complete checkout to buy items or send funds for a purchase.

The web site talks about linking a 'bank card' to your paypal account(balance).

Why would it do that if it does not accept such things?

Only pre-paid cards? I don't use those very much. Which ones?

As i already said, you can link a card to your paypal account to pay for purchases directly from that card.

But you can't 'add funds' to your paypal balance via a card.
