Update new card

How can I update the long number of a new card, as my old one has expired and they only ask validity and sort code?

Thank you for reaching out to PayPal. 

Regarding your concern about updating your card information on your PayPal account, you would only be able to update the expiration date and tje security code. For a new card number, you may have to remove the old one and add and confirm the new card. Please refer to the following Help Center articles for more details:

Hello! I'm also trying to update the long number of my card as it has changed and has not reflected on paypal. 

I tried removing the old card but it's telling me that i have an issue (There's problem with your account. Please go to the resolution center so we can help you resolve this quickly.), except the issue is with another card -- not this card that I want to remove. 

How can I update this card number while I resolve my other issue?
