Unable to reattempt linking bank account after failing first attempt

So I waited 3 days for the 2 small deposits to come into my BCU bank account and I messed up the deposit amounts and the bank account was unlinked from my PayPal for "security reasons" and I'm currently unable to reattempt it. I get up to the screen where we insert out Bank name, BSB and Account Number but when I fill them in, I'm given the same message everytime "We can't process your request right now. Please try again later." Could really use some help on this as I'm new to PayPal and I simply just need to link my BCU bank account with the PayPal

Does Pay PAl only accept Credit Cards only?????/ bedause I do not have a credit card only a Debit Card??????????
