Unable to add funds

Hey all,

I'm tired of Googling solutions for this, so here it is straight...

It's Christmas time, I'm trying to get family members gifts and pay through PayPal. I've gone to add funds to my account and voila, it's telling me, "We're sorry. We're not able to process your request right now. Please try again later.". Yes, computer gods, I have tried again 'later'. My bank account is verified and everything should be fine, but clearly, it's not. I really need answers because I need to have gifts ordered before the holiday rush commences. Note, I am only trying to add $250 into my account, I don't see what the problem is here...

Regards,

Gabriel

You never need funds in your Paypal account balance as a buyer. When you purchase an item then Paypal credit the seller for you, this is so there is no delay in the despatch of your item. Paypal will then take the wait for the funds to transfer to reimburse them.
However they only take that 'risk' if you pay...

1. Bank transfer but have a back up card linked to your account as well.
2. Debit or credit card.
If you have option 1 but have no back up card linked then your payment may go as an echeque and you and the seller will have to await clearance.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
