Transaction didn’t go through, bank account was removed

I can’t re-add add my bank account anymore it won’t let me it just gives me error codes. I think how it happened was I didn’t have sufficient funds in my bank? Is my bank account blocked? How can I un-block my bank account? On the email I was sent it said to alternatively use another bank account but this is the only one I have, and that I should contact my bank to fix the problem. But what should I say to my bank to help fix the problem? I need better understanding of this.

Transfers from bank accounts are never instant, that is why when you buy something paypal credit the seller upfront for you and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer to pay them back again, this is so you get your item without delay.

However they only take that risk if you have never had a failed bank transfer or negative balance. If you have then they may block that option and request payment via a card.
