Sudden Fee Charges

Why am I suddenly being charged a fee(a different amount/percentage each transaction) when I never was before? Ever since I signed up for the PayPal card, each transaction I make, whether it's sending or receiving funds, I'm being charged a fee. Either the receiver isn't getting the TOTAL amount of money I sent or I'm not getting the TOTAL amount of money the Sender sent. I want my account to go back to the way it was, where the only time I paid a fee was when I chose the "Instant" transfer to bank option, in which case the fee waz clearly stated up front to me and I was made aware of it and given a choice! I don't even have a choice now. Somehow everything is automatically going into some PayPal Cash Plus account that I never agreed to.

Visit this page about when fees are applicable if sending friends and family payments

https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees#sending-friends-family

Sometimes the sender sends a goods and services payment in error or the sender chose the recipient to be charged the fee.

Sending money to overseas PayPal account incurs a fee.

Sending money with credit/debit card or PayPal Credit virtual credit line incurs a fee.

Sending money as goods and services incurs a fee for the recipient.

The PayPal Cash/Cash Plus should have nothing to do with it. That just allows you to use the PayPal balance to park money and pay with the money that's in it:

Policy updates and user agreement changes to Personal PayPal accounts

If sending payment from within PayPal, you can't use the PayPal Cash card, you'd normally select the PayPal Balance to use the funds there.

Here are the fees related to the PayPal cash card:

https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/bundle/fees

When sending a payment from your PayPal account, the amount being sent and its fees are shown. In fact, the money can't be sent unless you scroll past the amount being sent and any applicable fees, to click button to send.

No one in the user to user forums can fix this for you, please contact customer service for assistance:
