Sending money to friends

I have used PayPal for many years to send money to friends and family. I have a brother who needs money, and he doesn't have an email. He gave me a username to which he said if I send money it will deposit onto a MasterCard account/card he has. When I tried to send money, it didn't recognize that name. Is there a different way to send money to an account other than the normal way of entering an email?

Thank you for your post! I'm sorry that there's confusion. If you're sending to a PayPal account, you would be entering the email address or mobile number of the recipient. It's possible that your friend is talking about a different service for sending and receiving payments.
