Hi, I purchased bitdefender software for $20. It was on sale a year ago and now this time after a year, it is charging me $90 again for the same software. I can get this for $20 again. I do not have any renewal payment option active to any software. But suddenly this software charges me $90 unexpectedly. I didn't find anything on how to get it refund back.. Help me guys!!

Hi @MaverickDipes

When you purchase digital licenses, subscriptions etc., these merchants may setup what we call a pre approved payment on your PayPal account. Similar to your situation, when your antivirus license expires, they can charge your PayPal account(the same account you used during the initial purchase).

You can see existing pre approved payments by using the guides in the links below. From there you can Cancel, change funding source etc.

You can use your PayPal account again to make a purchase. If you do not want them to automatically bill you when your license is about to expire, cancel the pre approved payment.

Kindly reach out to the software company to get a refund for the $90.

Hope this helps!

Kudos and Solved are highly appreciated.
